The TSCs are strategically placed in all Sericulture pockets. The main duty of the staff working at TSCs are expansion of Mulberry and implementation of all CDP (Catalytic Development Programme) schemes and transfer of technology to Sericulturists. These three TSCs namely 1.Bhimadole 2.Koyyalagudem 3.Jeelugumilli are available in the District.
Government Silk Farms
Two Govt. Silk Farms were established in the District. Vijayarai Govt. Silk Farm is exclusively for raising of mulberry nursery for onward supply mulberry saplings to farmers to have effective rooting and establishment of mulberry plantation to new farmers and also extension of mulberry acreage to old farmers.
As a new concept in sericulture “chawkie” (i.e., healthy young age worms) are to be supplied to farmers to get successful and good yields. The chawkie worms are grown in controlled conditions i.e., optimum temperature and humidity i.e., 280 C and 85% humidity, it is not possible to the farmers to maintain such conditions in their rearing sheds.
For which the Govt. Silk Farm at Recherla is playing a dual role i.e., Mulberry nursery activity and rearing of young age silkworms scientifically (CRC-Chawkie Rearing Centre) for onward supply to Sericulturists with disease free silk worms. This Farm is catering to the needs of Krishna District Sericulturists also.
Private Chawkie Rearing centres:
In support of Govt. Chawkie Rearing Centre, Recherla another two Pvt. Chawkie Rearing Centres are functioning to meet the needs of sericulture farmers in the district as follows.
Kannapuram (V) of Pedavegi(M):

With the help of chawkie rearing centres the farmers getting good crops with high yields up to 65 – 75 Kgs /100 Dfls.
