West Godavari District under the control of DCHS we have 8 DSH Hospitals:

1. One District Hospital, Tanuku.
2. Four Area Hospitals, Tadepalligudem, Palakole, Narsapuram, Bhimavaram
3. Three Community Health Centre’s , Achanta, Akiveedu, Penugonda.

• District Hospital, Tanuku is functioning with 150 bedded and Area Hospitals, Tadepalligudem, Palakole, Narsapuram, Bhimavaram are functioning  with 100 bedded each and Community Health Centre’s, Achanta, Akiveedu, Penugonda are functioning with 30 bedded each.
• Blood Storage Units are available at District Hospital, Tanuku & Four Area Hospitals, Tadepalligudem, Palakole, Narsapuram, Bhimavaram & at CHC Penugonda.
• District Early Intervention centre (DEIC) available at District Hospital, Tanuku.
• 2 bedded Acute Medical Care unit (AMC) is available at District Hospital, Tanuku.
• Palliative Care unit is available at District Hospital, Tanuku.
• Geriatric Clinic and 10 Bedded Ward is available at District Hospital, Tanuku.
• Day Care Chemotherapy Centre with 4 Bedded is available at District Hospital, Tanuku.
• SNCU (Sick New born Care Unit) is functioning at District Hospital,
• NBSU (New Born Stabilization Unit) is functioning at Tadepalligudem, Palakolu, Narasapuram, Bhimavaram.
• NCD Clinic & ward is available at District Hospital, Tanuku. NCD Clinics & Chronic Diseases OP at Four Area Hospitals, Tadepalligudem, Palakole, Narsapuram, Bhimavaram.
• The first Integrated Public Health Lab – IPHL in the District has been set up at the Government Area Hospital Tadepalligudem.
• Animal Bite Clinic is available at Area Hospial, Tadepalligudm.
• Dialysis centre’s are available at AH Tadepalligudem with 22 machines, DH Tanuku with 10 machines, AH Palakollu with 5 machinces.
• ICTC (Integrated counseling and Testing Center) for HIV screenings is available at Tanuku, Tadepalligudem, Palakolu, Narasapuram, Bhimavaram, Achanta, Akiveedu, Penugonda.

• High Capacity PSA oxygen plants at District Hospital, Area Hospitals and Liquid Medical Oxygen Plants at District Hospital Tanuku and Area Hospital Tadepalligudem and MGPS at all Hospitals.
• PPTCT (Prevention of Parent to child Transmission Center) to prevent HIV from mother to child at Tanuku, Tadepalligudem, Palakolu, Narasapuram,Bhimavaram.
• ART(Anti Retroviral Therapy) centre for treatment of HIV & AIDS patients at Tanuku, Tadepalligudem, LAC centre at AH Palakollu, LAC+ centre at AH Narsapuram.
• RNTCP – NTEP Diagnosis & Treatment to patients with Tuberculosis is available at all DSH Hospitals.
• Stemi Programme – Cardiac Care Unit is available at all DSH Hospitals.
• Physiotherapy services for rehabilitation of paralysis patients and orthopedic cases are available at DH Tanuku & AH’s Tadepalligudem, Palakollu, Narasapuram, Bhimavaram.
• Telemedicine Hub at Area Hospital Tadepalligudem.
• Ayushman Bharath Digital Health Mission – ABHA ID Registration – Electronic Health Records at all DSH Facilities.
• Safe Drinking Water – RO water system at all DSH
• Cancer Screening Programme for Oral Cancer, Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer at all DSH Facilities.
• Drug De-Addiction centre at Area Hospital, Narsapuram.
• Free Attendants meals available at Tanuku, Tadepalligudem,
• All the hospitals are in compliance with Standards on par with ‘NQAS’ ,LAXYA, MUSQAN.
