COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES IN WEST GODAVARI DISTRICT:

There are 122 cooperative societies registered under Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Societies Act 1964 working under the control of District Cooperative officer, Bhimavaram and 633 societies registered under APCS. Act, 1964 are working under the control of other Functional Registrars i.e, Assistant Director/ Handlooms, Deputy Director/ Fisheries, Excise Superintendent, Deputy Director/ Dairy, Deputy Director/Animal Husbandry, and General Manager/Industries. Thus a total of 755 societies registered under APCS Act1964 in the district.

Further, there are 1385 societies were registered under Andhra Pradesh Mutually Aided Cooperative Societies Act 1995 by the  District Coop. Officer, W.G. District, Bhimavaram.

There are 122 PACS /LSCS in the District. Out of which 97 societies have turnover more than 10 Crores.
